It is frightening to think that learning well-established historical facts, such as the Holocaust, and visiting concentration and death camp sites would be considered controversial, or even an act of treason.
However, just this month, when Professor Mohammed S. Dajani Daoudi, who teaches American Studies at Al-Quds University, took 27 students to visit Auschwitz, he returned to a storm of condemnation and threats.
